Acceptable Use Policy
Last updated: July 30, 2026
This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") sets out what is and is not permitted when using SEOLark. SEOLark is an independently owned SaaS platform operated by Shafiq Ur Rehman as a sole proprietor in Lahore, Punjab, Pakistan. This AUP is incorporated into our Terms and Conditions and should be read alongside our Fair Usage Policy.
1. Who This Policy Applies To
This AUP applies to visitors, guest users, registered users, Free-plan users, paid subscribers, Agency account owners, invited team members, and anyone else accessing or using SEOLark's tools, reports, APIs, uploads, sharing features, or other services.
2. Permitted Use
You may use SEOLark for lawful, authorised purposes, such as:
- Analysing websites you own, manage, or are authorised to analyse
- Performing legitimate SEO, AI-search, local SEO, YouTube, content, technical, image, video, text, developer, or utility-tool workflows actually supported by the platform
- Producing reports for yourself or authorised clients
- Researching publicly available information where permitted by law and the applicable third party's own terms
- Sharing reports only where you have authority to share the information they contain
Not every tool falls into every category above — see the Pricing page and our tools directory for what is currently available.
3. Illegal, Fraudulent, or Harmful Activity
You must not use SEOLark for any activity that violates applicable law or regulation, or that involves fraud, deception, impersonation, identity theft, phishing, scams, money laundering, sanctions evasion, chargeback abuse, payment fraud, or misrepresentation of products, reports, results, ownership, or authority.
4. Malware and Cybersecurity Abuse
You must not use SEOLark to create, distribute, or facilitate malware, viruses, ransomware, spyware, keyloggers, credential theft, or exploit delivery, or to attempt unauthorised vulnerability scanning, unauthorised penetration testing, or any attempt to compromise SEOLark, Paddle, other users, third parties, websites, devices, accounts, or networks. Security testing of any kind may only be performed on systems you own or are explicitly authorised in writing to test.
5. Unauthorised Access and Data Collection
You must not access accounts, systems, websites, APIs, files, reports, or data without permission, circumvent authentication or access controls, harvest private personal data, collect email addresses or contact data without lawful authority, or scrape in a way that violates applicable law, privacy rights, robots restrictions, contractual terms, or platform terms. You must not use SEOLark to enable spyware, credential theft, device unlocking, or other unauthorised data access.
6. Automation and Platform Abuse
You must not bypass quotas, rate limits, credits, access restrictions, or plan limits; create multiple accounts to evade restrictions; make excessive automated requests; use unauthorised bots, scripts, crawlers, browser automation, or API-style access; scrape SEOLark's own interface, reports, source, database, pricing, or platform structure; reverse engineer, reproduce, resell, sublicense, clone, or commercially exploit SEOLark without permission; or otherwise interfere with service availability or degrade performance for other users.
7. Spam and Unsolicited Communications
You must not use SEOLark to send or facilitate spam, phishing messages, unsolicited bulk email, mass SMS or messaging-app marketing, contact harvesting, or messaging to purchased, scraped, or unlawfully collected recipient lists; to use deceptive sender identities; or to evade unsubscribe, consent, or anti-spam requirements. SEOLark does not provide a bulk-messaging or outreach product, and this restriction applies regardless of how such messaging is attempted.
8. Manipulated Engagement and Fake Activity
You must not use SEOLark to generate or facilitate fake reviews, fake followers, or artificial likes, views, clicks, comments, ratings, or engagement; automated social-media manipulation; review manipulation; search-engine manipulation that violates the rules of the relevant platform; or fraudulent SEO reports or fabricated performance data.
9. Intellectual Property and Content Rights
You must not use SEOLark to infringe copyright, trademark, or trade-secret rights; to plagiarise; to copy or redistribute content without authorisation; to remove ownership or attribution notices; to submit or process content you have no right to use; or to enable illicit streaming, protected-content copying, or unauthorised download services.
10. Harmful and Abusive Content
You must not use SEOLark in a way that promotes or facilitates violence, threatens or harasses people, targets protected groups with hateful or discriminatory content, facilitates stalking, doxxing, intimidation, exploitation, or abuse, creates defamatory, deceptive, or unlawfully harmful material, or facilitates child exploitation or sexual abuse material in any form. This is treated as a zero-tolerance category.
11. AI and Content Tool Misuse
For any AI-assisted or content-generation tools currently available on the platform, you must not use them to create fraudulent or deceptive content; impersonate a real person without lawful consent; create deepfakes, face swaps, voice impersonations, or other likeness-based content without the necessary authority; generate fake reviews or mass spam; facilitate academic fraud; violate intellectual-property, privacy, publicity, or personality rights; make unlawful automated decisions about individuals; or generate prohibited sexual, violent, exploitative, fraudulent, medical, financial, or otherwise illegal content.
12. High-Risk and Regulated Uses
SEOLark does not offer, and must not be used in connection with, regulated financial advice, trading, investment, credit, or lending decisions; medical diagnosis or personalised medical advice; gambling, betting, lotteries, sweepstakes, or other games of chance involving value; adult or sexually explicit services; illegal drugs, weapons, or other prohibited goods; political manipulation or unlawful campaigning; automated categorisation or decision-making that materially affects a person's rights or access to essential services; or any activity prohibited under Paddle's current Acceptable Use requirements as our payment provider. SEOLark itself does not sell or support any of these categories.
13. Third-Party Platform Rules
You must comply with the terms, API policies, developer policies, privacy rules, and usage restrictions of Google, YouTube, Paddle, and any other third-party service used with SEOLark. The fact that content is reachable through a public URL or API does not by itself authorise collection, copying, or reuse that those rules prohibit. We may restrict SEOLark functionality where a third party's rules or access change.
14. Account and Team Use
You are responsible for protecting your login credentials. Accounts must not be sold, rented, transferred, or shared outside the permissions of your selected plan, and you must not use another person's account without permission. Agency account owners are responsible for the team members they invite and for any client data those team members access or submit. Current team-account allowances are shown on the Pricing page rather than fixed in this policy.
15. Uploads, Reports, and Public Sharing
You must have authority to upload or analyse any content you submit. You must not upload malware, stolen data, confidential credentials, payment card details, government identification numbers, or unlawfully obtained personal data. A public report-sharing link may expose the report's content to anyone who has that link — review what a report contains before enabling sharing, and disable sharing when it is no longer needed. Public sharing must not be used for harassment, defamation, deception, or unauthorised disclosure of information about others.
16. Fair Usage and Resource Abuse
Your use of SEOLark remains subject to our Fair Usage Policy and the plan-specific controls shown on the Pricing page. Excessive processing, storage abuse, repeated large uploads, queue abuse, attempts to monopolise shared resources, or other behaviour that harms service reliability for other users is prohibited.
17. Payments and Paddle
Paid SEOLark subscriptions are currently processed through Paddle as our Merchant of Record. You must not use SEOLark, Paddle checkout, refunds, disputes, or subscriptions for fraud, chargeback abuse, money laundering, sanctions evasion, or otherwise deceptive transactions. If business or technical requirements change, other payment providers may be added in the future; this policy will be updated before or when that happens.
18. Enforcement
Where we reasonably believe this policy has been violated, SEOLark may investigate the suspected violation, request information, restrict tools or features, apply rate limits, remove prohibited content or public sharing links, suspend an account, or terminate an account. We may preserve relevant evidence and cooperate with Paddle, other service or payment providers, regulators, courts, or law enforcement where legally required. In serious security, fraud, legal, or abuse cases, we may act immediately. Not every violation results in permanent termination — the response we take considers severity, repetition, intent, impact, legal requirements, security risk, and user cooperation.
19. Refund Consequences
Suspending or terminating an account for a policy violation does not automatically create refund eligibility. Refunds remain governed by our Refund Policy and applicable law.
20. Reporting Abuse
If you witness or suspect abuse of SEOLark's platform, report it to support@seolark.com, including the relevant URL or account information, a description of the suspected violation, the date and time where available, and any screenshots or supporting evidence. We may request additional information to investigate. We do not promise a fixed response or investigation deadline.
21. Changes to This Policy
We may update this AUP as our tools, risks, applicable laws, third-party requirements, Paddle's requirements, or business practices change. The date of the most recent update is shown at the top of this page. Nothing in this policy overrides any mandatory legal rights you may have.
