Billing Policy
Last updated: July 29, 2026
This Billing Policy describes how SEOLark handles subscription billing, payment processing, invoices, and related billing matters. SEOLark is an independently owned SaaS platform operated by Shafiq Ur Rehman as a sole proprietor in Lahore, Punjab, Pakistan. It supplements our Subscription Policy, Refund Policy, and Cancellation Policy.
1. Billing Through Paddle
Paid SEOLark subscriptions are sold and processed through Paddle.com, which acts as the Merchant of Record for these transactions. Paddle may handle checkout, payment processing, payment-method availability, applicable taxes (including VAT or sales tax), fraud screening, receipts, invoices, recurring billing, payment retries, and approved refunds on our behalf. Your transaction may appear on your card or bank statement using Paddle's own billing descriptor, subject to Paddle's checkout and banking arrangements.
2. Billing Cycles
SEOLark paid plans are billed either monthly or yearly, depending on the billing cycle you select. Monthly subscriptions renew monthly and yearly subscriptions renew annually. Your exact renewal date is shown during checkout, in your account billing information, or in the relevant Paddle-managed subscription area.
3. Auto-Renewal
Paid subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled. By purchasing a subscription, you authorize recurring charges for your selected billing cycle. The prevailing renewal price and any applicable taxes may be charged at each renewal. You must cancel before your renewal date to prevent the next charge. Cancelling stops future renewals but does not automatically refund the current billing period — see our Cancellation Policy and Refund Policy for details.
4. Currency
SEOLark's public plan prices are displayed in United States Dollars (USD), unless another supported currency is clearly shown during Paddle checkout. Depending on checkout configuration, your location, or your payment method, Paddle may display or charge a supported localized currency instead. We do not control, and cannot guarantee, currency conversion rates or the final local-currency amount, which depend on Paddle, your bank, card issuer, or payment network.
5. Taxes and VAT
As Merchant of Record, Paddle calculates, collects, and remits applicable sales tax, VAT, GST, or similar transaction taxes where required. Where applicable, the final tax amount is shown during checkout before you confirm your purchase. Tax treatment may depend on your location, billing details, business status, and the tax information you provide. Not every purchase will necessarily include tax, and we do not provide country-specific tax or legal guarantees.
6. Payment Methods
Available payment methods are displayed directly in Paddle checkout. Availability may vary by your location, currency, device, transaction type, and Paddle's own configuration. We do not maintain or promise a fixed list of supported payment methods here — the options shown at checkout are the current, accurate list.
7. Invoices and Receipts
Paddle may issue the receipt, invoice, or transaction confirmation for a successful paid transaction. These may be sent to your registered email address or made available through Paddle's buyer or billing tools, where applicable. You must provide accurate billing, tax, and contact information. For invoice or billing assistance, contact support@seolark.com and, where appropriate, Paddle buyer support.
8. Failed Payments and Retries
If a recurring payment fails, Paddle may automatically retry it according to its own configured billing and recovery process. Paddle or SEOLark may notify you of a failed payment, and you may be asked to update your payment method. Depending on the outcome of payment attempts, your paid access may be restricted, paused, cancelled, or downgraded, in line with your actual subscription status. We do not set or guarantee a specific retry schedule or grace period — this is governed by Paddle's own process.
9. Plan Upgrades
You may request a plan upgrade at any time. The effect of an upgrade — including timing, any additional charge, credit, or change to your billing date — will be shown to you as part of the plan-change or checkout process before you confirm it. We do not guarantee that every upgrade takes effect immediately or that a standard proration formula applies; refer to what is presented to you at the time of the change.
10. Plan Downgrades
You may request a plan downgrade. The effect of a downgrade, and any related billing adjustment, will be shown to you during the plan-change process. A downgrade does not automatically generate a credit or refund for time already paid.
11. Plan Changes and Refunds
A plan change — upgrade or downgrade — does not automatically create a cash refund. Refund eligibility remains governed exclusively by our Refund Policy.
12. Price Changes
SEOLark may change plan prices, features, or billing terms from time to time. Existing subscribers will receive reasonable notice where required by law or commercially appropriate. Where required by applicable law or by the Paddle billing process, a changed renewal price will be communicated before it is charged. You may cancel before an affected renewal takes effect. Nothing in this policy overrides any mandatory consumer protection rights available to you under applicable law.
13. Billing Disputes
If you believe you have been charged incorrectly, contact support@seolark.com promptly with:
- Your account email
- The transaction or invoice ID
- The charge date
- The charged amount
- The reason for the dispute
- Any supporting evidence
Paddle may request additional verification to investigate your case. Unauthorized or disputed card transactions may also be handled through Paddle, your payment provider, bank, or card issuer. We encourage you to contact us first so we can help resolve the issue directly, without limiting your legal right to raise a payment dispute with your bank or card issuer.
14. Your Billing Information
You must provide accurate account, billing, country, tax, and payment information. You are responsible for keeping your payment method and contact email address current. SEOLark is not responsible for missed billing notices caused by an incorrect or inaccessible email address.
15. Payment Security
SEOLark does not directly store your complete payment card details when checkout is processed through Paddle. Your payment information is handled through Paddle and its authorized payment infrastructure.
16. Plan Access and Payment Status
Paid access is activated after successful payment confirmation. Activation may depend on Paddle's transaction confirmation and SEOLark's subscription synchronization. If a payment is reversed, refunded, disputed, cancelled, or remains unpaid, the corresponding paid access may be adjusted or removed, in line with your actual subscription status and applicable law.
